Is cover design important?

You've heard, "Don't judge a book by its cover." Why do they say that? Because everybody does.

Your cover design is vital.

If you don't have a cover design, we will design several for you to choose from ... designed just for your book.

Free. No extra charge if we handle your printing for you.
Jewish author Dan Lewin told all about watching his grandparents
being dragged out of their home by the Gestapo, then of his terrified parents fleeing to Berlin, where they hid in plain sight for the duration of the Holocaust. As a little boy, Dan hid and played in the Berlin city dump.

In his first draft, he told about arriving at the dump, then one day seeing Allied bombers overhead. The question we had to ask was: "Wait, wait! You just jumped from 1939 to 1945! You skipped World War II! What happened during the years you just breezed over?!"

Those memories were hard. But without them, his book would not have had the impact that it does.

How would we help you?

One of the most effective strategies we've used over the years is to get the author to talk, telling his or her story. Speaking is easier than writing for most folks.

Setting down to write a full book is a frightening task for a lot of people. Its so easy to get bogged down in style, grammar, punctuation and self-consciousness. Our job is to get you past all that ... and down to the business of recording your story for generations to come.

We'll turn it into a transcript, then organize it so that you have a compelling story that will hold the reader's interest to the end.

Don Brooks wrote his book sitting in a deer stand,
talking into his recorder over a long weekend. He didn't
bring home any venison, but he really got into telling his
story. Then it was our job to turn his memories into a
  really good book.

In the first book that we did with Nicky Cruz, Where Were You When I Was Hurting, his manuscript detailed some incredible experiences.

On one page, he mentioned being invited to speak in Communist Hungary where 1,500 doctors became Christians. Ten he told how one of Budapest's most well-known artists responded to an altar call at the largest Catholic cathedral in the Hungarian capital. Then Nicky told the story of a dramatic healing of a famous atheist's little boy in Mexico City's National Stadium.

From those three sentences, we drew out of him three full chapters, telling the full, captivating story of the Hungarian doctors, the conversion experience of the Budapest artist and the little boy's dramatic healing.

Helping you turn your memories into a book is what we do.
Even experienced authors need an editor who will ask the necessary questions and turn a good book into an extraordinary one. Leave the spelling, grammar and punctuation up to us.

It's our job to make your words leap out of the pages, delighting the reader ... and changing their lives.
